George N. Prezerakos

Born in Athens in December of 1970. Received the Dipl-Ing in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 1993 and the Ph.D. from the same institution in 1998 in the area of Software Engineering for Broadband Intelligent Network Services. Consequently, he was employed in various positions in Greece, in the private as well as in the public sector, in the areas of Information Technology and Communications. Since 2004, he is a Professor in the Dept. of Electronic Computer Systems (ECS) at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Piraeus. His research interests include Software Engineering for services, Context-Aware service design and the European Regulatory Framework for Telecommunications. He is the author of more than 40 publications in journals, conferences and book chapters.

Born in Piraeus in June of 1977. He received the Diploma of Engineer of Electronic Computer Systems from the Technological Educational Institution (TEI) of Piraeus in 2000, the Pg.Dip. in Computer Networks & Distributed Computing from the Westminster University (UK) in 2002 and the MSc. in Data Communication Systems from the Brunel University (UK) in 2008. He has been employed in companies on the field of IT networks and also as a freelancer engineer in private & public sector assignments on the field of computer and IT networks and network application programming. Moreover, he has been a Fellow of the Network Operations Center of TEI and, since 2004, a Teaching & Research Associate of the Technological Educational Institution of Piraeus, School of Engineering, Dept. of Electronic Computer Systems, on the fields: (a) Object Oriented Programming, (b) Computer Networks and (c) Database Systems. He is a doctoral researcher at the University of Piraeus since 2011.

Evangelos A. Kosmatos

Born in Kefalonia, Greece on May 1979. Received the Dipl-Ing and Ph.D. degrees from the Electrical and Computer Engineering School of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 2002 and 2008 respectively. Since September 2002 he has been a research associate, working in NTUA’s Telecommunication Laboratory. From 2009 he is a Teaching & Research Associate of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Piraeus, Dept. of Electronic Computer Systems on the courses of Object Oriented Programming and Software Engineering. His research interests include optical networks, multimedia delivery, QoS support in wired and wireless networks (WLAN, UMTS, Wimax) and Software Engineering for services. He is the author of 15 publications in journals, conferences and book chapters.

George S. Konstantopoulos

Born in Athens in October of 1977. Received the Diploma Computer Science from Anglia Polytechnic University in 1999 and the M.Sc in Distributed Multimedia Information Systems from Heriot - Watt University in 2000. Since then, he has worked in an plethora of companies throughout Greece and abroad in the sectors of analysis, design and growth of enterprise applications (with emphasis in multi-tier applications / n-tier) as well as an network administrator for web servers and databases. Since 2007 he is a Teaching & Research Associate of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Piraeus, Dept. of Electronic Computer Systems on the course of Software Engineering.

Dimitrios P. Makris

Received the diploma of Electrical Engineer and Engineer of Computers from the National Technological University of Athens in 1995 and the PhD from the same institution in 1999 with the subject of Observation & Evaluation of the Attribution of Telecommunications Networks and Systems. Afterwards he was occupied in various places of the private sector in the fields of application growth and as an expert of regulating subjects in the field of telecommunications. From 2007 he is a Teaching & Research Associate of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Piraeus, Dept. of Electronic Computer Systems on the course of Object Oriented Programming.

Ioannis E. Foukarakis

Born in Athens in March of 1980. Received the Dipl-Ing in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technological University of Athens (NTUA) in 1998, and the Ph.D. from the same Institution in 2008 in the area of Distributed Systems. He was also employed as a Software Engineer in the private sector, designing and implementing enterprise applications mainly targeted for mobile operators. His research interests include Distributed Systems, Software Engineering and Mobile Internet technologies. From 2009 he is a Teaching & Research Associate of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Piraeus, Dept. of Electronic Computer Systems on the courses of Object Oriented Programming and Software Engineering.

Panagiotis Nik. Christias

Received the diploma of Electronics Engineer and Engineer of Computers (degree: 7.5/10) from the Technical University of Crete in 2003 and afterwards (2005) the postgraduate diploma of specialization (M.Sc.) also from the Technical University of Crete (Study with scholarship - degree: 9.83/10). He has been occupied in an abundance of developmental and inquiring work regarding software both for the private and the Public sector with specialization in the region of network applications and databases. From 2004 he is a Teaching & Research Associate in the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Piraeus, Dept. of Electronic Computer Systems on the course of Object Oriented Programming.
